Malibu Crash Injures Two—One Person in Critical Condition

October 19, 2011- According to reports two people were injured in a Malibu crash, one person listed in critical condition. According to the California Highway Patrol the crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Canan Dune Road, in the vicinity of Tunnel No. 1, Tuesday.

The single car crash, authorities believe occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to strike the side of the mountain. The California Highway Patrol has not released any information about the driver or passengers involved in the car accident.

The crash critically injured one person and injured one other person, both were airlifted to UCLA Medical Center. Other passengers in the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol one southbound lane of the Canan Dune Road was reopened at approximately 5:15.
