New Apple app to reduce fatigue-based car accidents
It seems the world of Apple's iPhone and iPad users have an other app available, this one is asleep at the wheel designed to prevent your car.
If you are too tired, if you're long hours in the car, should pull over on the side of the road and you a NAP or pulling off the highway and grab some coffee. This new app can mean, if the way works its developers claim it, not even stop drivers and need to find out whether they are tired, the app that lead for the driver, because to go.
At Montlick and Associates, attorneys at law, we have received serious car accident victims in all Georgia the Compensaiton here, that they deserve for more than 27 years. We have seen the increasing risk of drowsy drivers, who have fallen asleep at the wheel and hope that this new technology can help reduce the Georgia car accidents related to tired or exhausted drive. Our experienced Georgia auto accident lawyers are obliged to get the best possible result for our customers and constantly attempts to bring the best Atlanta law firm in Georgia be considered personal injury.
A company called ASP developed an app named anti sleep pilots who can supposedly actually monitor a driver fatigue level. If this pictures of someone with electrodes on their temples and a large pitched firmly on the road in her car driving machine in the passenger seat conjures up, there's no reason for concern. The app and all its functions can appear slightly on the iPhone screen as you drive.
How does it work? For the first time that the app is set up, created the driver itself about 12 different questions a baseline profile of themselves. Some of the information that it collects includes age, sex, how many hours per week the person works, etc.. The app helps then fatigue calculate the driver status, before the journey begins. While driving the app constantly shows fatigue level of the driver with the screen of the iPhone itself.
The screen shows how the person drives, and sounds a series of light and tests to break the monotony of the drive. The driver is asked to touch the screen sometimes so this helps to increase the driver's vigilance. If the application detects that the driver has become overly tired and that an accident sounds may be forthcoming, there an alarm alerts the driver, who take a rest break.
There is also a graphic driver fatigue dashboard that displays driving distance, average speed and progression of fatigue level of the driver. The app is also integrated with Google maps, constantly the driver provide an overview of his or her driving-range, is before the driver has to take the next break.
While the app might sound strange, it can serve a valuable purpose. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), is about 56,000 sleep-related car accidents each year in the United States, which result in 40,000 injuries and 1,550 car accident deaths and in the truck industry 30-40 percent Gesamtmasse(n) accidents caused by driver drowsiness.
If it works as shown, this app can be a great application for truck drivers, that driver fatigue is one of the leading causes serious commercial truck accidents. This device can be a way to reduce the fatigue and sleep-related car accidents, but one must be questions about the driving distraction created by the device itself. Distracted driving is also a leading cause of serious car accidents. This driver requires obviously both screen for the signals and touching the screen. This means that the app provides both Visual and manual is a distraction so it is not entirely clear whether reducing in the value of yet another tired go driving distraction of an electronic gadget.
