According to an article on LortonPatch.com and local police, a two car accident yesterday morning a two mile route closed route 1 North of Telegraph road for over an hour and -a-half.

Apparently was a late model Toyota Corolla travel north on route 1 if the driver has tried to make a U-turn in the vicinity of Britten road. The car hit a Chrysler 300 travel on route 1 South.

The driver of the Toyota was taken by helicopter to INOVA Fairfax with a broken leg and other minor injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler, a middle-aged man, was acquired by ambulance to INOVA Fairfax with a compound fracture in his ankle.

The police say that the driver of the Toyota with reckless driving will be charged.
