Ridiculously light sentence for fatal Virginia drunk driving accident
According to reports, the accident as Mrs. Cohn occurred Nissan Altima of right from a Jeep Cherokee driven by Michael Meisel, 33, was taken from Dumfries. The force of the impact sent Mrs Cohn vehicle in a wooded area, where it collided with some trees. Ms. Cohn was dead pronounced at the crash site.
Mr. Meisel, in prison for the last 13 months, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence in Stafford County Circuit Court on Tuesday, 8 March 2011. As part of his plea he was sentenced to 11 years in prison. However, all up to 15 months of his sentence were suspended.
Unfortunately, for those who are still the premature death of Mrs. Cohn grief, the drunk driver is released in less than two months. At the time of discharge death have served Mr. Meisel less than a year and a half for his role of the victim.
It seems hardly fair that this man be free in such a short time, if Mrs Cohn come up family with a life of sorrow. This is a ridiculous light set for a fatal drunk driving accident.
