If you are in the hospital for a routine procedure, or a major operation go, it would be not grueling, to find out that you have a chance of 1 of 10 will have hurt by a medical error?  No one wants to think about these kinds of odds.

A recent study published in the New England Journal of medicine has worried many people feel a little bit about check-in to the hospital.  The study covered six years and contain 2,341 patients.  Researchers discovered that at least a safety-related incident suffered 18 per cent of patients. Fourteen deaths were among these incidents.

Hospitals involved the study in North Carolina, because the State is regarded as a leader in patient safety improvements.  Because the study ended in 2007, North Carolina tried a boost security in an attempt to reduce the rate of medical injuries presented.  For example, electronic health records are more commonly used, and methods for monitoring patient safety have been improved.
