In Illinois, the jury rejected the medical malpractice has a wife's family claim the in a permanent vegetative state remained a surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome by two anaesthetists.

According to the lawyers for the family of Christina McCray, she received too much sedation as a surgical procedure of 6 July 2001 at Maryville, Texas at the Anderson hospital, their suffering cause sever brain damage.

The defendants in the case were anesthesiologist Timothy Kurt and Gregory Collins. The lawyers of McCray family, they do not properly monitor and the monitor anesthesia McCray. They asked the jury about $20 million to the family as compensation for health care costs and non-economic damages awarded.

McCray, 32, worked as a crane operator and had two sons, age at the time of the operation 10 and 12. She is currently staying in a nursing home in Belleville, Texas.

There were 11 days worth of testimony by the jury heard and advised them for about two hours on Thursday, February 28-before to reach their decision.
