Pedestrian Killed In Rancho Cucamonga By Metrolink Train
AppId is over the quota
October 14, 2011 - I have been covering these fact patterns a lot in the news lately as a Rancho Cucamonga personal injury attorney. Here is another sad story involving a train. According to reports, a pedestrian was killed when struck by a Metrolink train in Rancho Cucamonga. According to authorities a pedestrian was struck at approximately 4:35 a.m. by the 301 Metrolink train at Hellman Avenue.
Metrolink officials stated that there were 190 passengers on the train and none of the passengers were injured during the accident. Authorities are unsure why the pedestrian that was struck was on the tracks Friday morning. Metrolink officials at the Rancho Cucamonga station stated that the fatal accident caused major delays for Metrolink commuters. Rancho Cucamonga is a great place, but trains, trucks and buses drive at high rates of speed and often times, pedestrians cannot hear the train coming.
I will be covering this story and as I learn more about it, I will discuss issues of liability, damages and insurance or government claims.
