Bus and Car Collision in Santa Ana Injures Five People

November 1, 2011 - According to reports five people were injured when a car and bus collision occurred in Santa Ana. According to authorities, Santa Ana police and fire crews responded to reports of a traffic accident at approximately 8:54 p.m. Monday night. The collision occurred at Clinton Street and Westminster Avenue in Santa Ana.

Police stated the collision involved a car and an Orange County Transportation Authority bus. Santa Ana Fire Department Capt. Ben Gonzales stated that five people were injured in the crash.

The male driver of the car involved in the bus was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange to be treated for injuries. Four passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries, according to Capt. Gonzales.
According to Santa Ana police the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
