Hollywood Freeway Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills one Person and Critically Injures Another Person

October 15, 2011 - According to reports one person was killed and another critically injured in a Hollywood Freeway multi-vehicle collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol the multi-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the 101 Hollywood Freeway in the vicinity between Highland Avenue and Barham Boulevard.

California Highway Patrol officials stated that there were five cars involved in the collision that resulted in the death of one man and another person critically injured. The collision occurred when the vehicles reached the summit of the Cahuenga Pass.

One of the vehicles involved in the pile up was a BMW, which upon impact struck the center divider of the 101 Freeway and then was struck by another vehicle. According to firefighters the man in the BMW was taken out of the wreckage and when being treated by paramedics died from his injuries before being transported by ambulance.

Paramedics transported another person to the hospital in critical condition. According to the California Highway Patrol and the car accident lawyer at Ehline Law Firm PC at 213.596.9642, , the southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway were closed due to the five car pileup for approximately two hours.
