Route 516 Crash in New Jersey Injures Three

A serious accident involving two vehicles and a garbage truck occurred in Old Bridge on Friday, September 23. A Honda Accord driven by Janelle Williams, 30, of Old Bridge, was struck by a garbage truck that swerved while attempting to avoid a Subaru Forester, which was making a U-turn.
Williams and her seven-year-old son were badly injured, and were taken to Robert Wood University Hospital. Williams, who sustained several broken bones, facial wounds, and internal injuries, was listed in critical condition. Her son, who also sustained broken bones and facial injuries, was listed in serious condition. The driver of the Subaru, Michael Kucsak, 68, of Carteret, suffered a brain injury and was listed in serious condition. The driver of the garbage truck was not injured.
