1 in 4 truck in Texas insecure and should not on the streets!
Road check was in June and begin results are reported. So how does Texas? An ANNOUNCED inspection, which was considered to be of 1 in 4 trucks were so insecure they be told to stop operating until they fixed a security issue. During the 72-hour road check 2011-programme last week, DPS and other law enforcement agencies Texas reviewed 7,993 commercial vehicles. Of the vehicles checked, 26.5 per cent were from service for safety violations. (Emphasis)
Is it a wonder that people fear are 18 wheels? In view of the recent attempts by the Texas legislature to kill more Texians truck (see my previous blog on the impact of higher truck speed limits in Texas here) Texans, have every reason to fear.
