Chinese children toddler dies one week after hit two cars & ignored pedestrians
It has an absolutely shocking heartbreaking story on the Web and large news channels about a little girl who was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in China, in circulation. Today, broke the sad news that the Chinese 2-year-old girl has died.
Last week surfaced video of the little girl lying on the road to be hit by two cars. The child was of pedestrians and other cars for several minutes until someone finally no longer ignores help. The video is hard to see and easy to print on this blog. Rightly so, that these images have triggered a debate on the morality of the Chinese and human compassion in General.
In Texas we hear about hit and run accident all the time in the news and even after more than 20 years working as a personal injury lawyer, these wrecks me every time. Why not people only stop and help? Even if the error sell, the punishment is to nothing compared what you face, if the scene leaving and later caught you.
Hopefully we have more good Samaritans in America, which would make happen never something with an innocent girl.

Renton Car Crash Lawyer | Deer Lands in Car After Being Hit
AppId is over the quota
As a Seattle car accident attorney, I recognize that there are all kinds of strange circumstances that one might encounter while driving. The unpredictability of the road and nature around it can often catch us off guard. MyNorthwest.com reported about a car hitting a deer in the early morning of Tuesday October 18th. Hitting a deer is uncommon enough but the strange result of this accident was surprising to everyone. While driving southbound on I-5 near Olympia, an unsuspecting vehicle struck a deer from the front. The deer initially hit the windshield and then flipped in the air and landed in the back window of the car. The driver of the 2001 Hyundai was not seriously injured and was able to pull over onto the shoulder. Even though in this situation no one was injured, this could have potentially been extremely dangerous for the driver and others in the nearby vicinity. Animals cause accidents in many locations, this collision could have easily happened on the roads of a local community like Kent.
Wildlife on the road is dangerous and very unpredictable. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2000, around 247,000 car accidents involved incidents in which the vehicle directly hit an animal on the roadway. Furthermore, an estimated 200 fatalities resulted from crashes involving animals from that year. Animals on the road are inevitable and are something that drivers should be aware of and take into consideration when traveling.
If you or a family member have been injured in a car accident and have questions about your rights, contact an experienced Kent car accident attorney today. One Thing Not to Do After a Hit-and-Run: Cover Up the Crime
AppId is over the quota
There are plenty of right actions to take following a car accident, like calling the police, or calling your insurance agent. Another wise decision would be to contact an NJ car accident attorney. But the last thing anyone should do is flee the scene of the accident, especially if it involved pedestrians.
One Cherry Hill Woman Struck and Killed a Pedestrian, then Allowed Her Sister to Cover Up the Crime.
A few weeks ago, a young Cherry Hill driver attempted to bypass traffic on Route 70 by driving on the open shoulder. At the same time, another young woman was crossing Route 70 with her boyfriend. The female pedestrian was hit by the young woman driving her 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. The female pedestrian unfortunately died from her injuries. Her boyfriend was only grazed by the vehicle, and was fortunately unharmed.
Console & Hollawell’s sincerest sympathies go out to this young woman’s friends, family, and boyfriend. Philly.com reports that the woman, only 25, worked for one of the law firms on Route 70 with a promising future ahead of her. We cannot stress enough our deepest condolences over this tragic, unfortunate loss of life.
Cover-up Only Creates Clear Cut Liability.
According to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), there were approximately 1,891 pedestrian fatalities in the first half of 2010 across the United States. As of 2009, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey and New York account for 20% of pedestrian fatalities caused by car accidents. In NJ, pedestrian fatalities are close to 200 a year.
There are numerous factors that could lead to a car accident-related pedestrian fatality.
These scenarios are the ones in which the first course of action any innocent driver in NJ wants to take is to contact the NJ car accident lawyers at Console & Hollawell for a free consultation and advice. Accidents do happen, and Console & Hollawell strives to protect the innocent.
In the case of the driver mentioned earlier, however, liability is a black-and-white issue. She fled the scene of the crime, her first and biggest mistake, and then allowed her older sister to hinder police investigations by providing them false information.
Combined with the driver’s laundry list of traffic violations and two drug-related charges in the past, her fate is sealed. Her sister, too, was arrested for hindering the investigation, though she was later released. The driver, however, remains in the Camden County Jail pending a court date this week.
If nothing else, please take from this story the need to be cautious when crossing roads, especially heavily-trafficked ones like Route 70. And, though this should go without saying, if you ever accidentally strike a pedestrian, do the right thing—don’t flee

Seattle Pedestrian Accident Lawyer | Man in Wheelchair Dies After Being Hit in Crosswalk
AppId is over the quota
As a Seattle pedestrian accident attorney, I know how vulnerable pedestrians are on our streets; this is particularly true of a pedestrian who is confined to a wheelchair. KIROTV.com reports Tuesday morning a hit-and-run accident involving a wheelchair-bound pedestrian in the Interbay area of Seattle. Douglas L. Lefever was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the street in his motorized wheel chair, and was thrown from the chair. Mr. Lefever died after being transported to Harborview Medical Center. A witness to the accident followed the vehicle that struck Mr. Lefever, and was able to provide a description of the vehicle and its license plate number to police, who found the vehicle and arrested the driver.
This tragedy could so easily have been avoided. Every year, over 4000 pedestrians are killed in traffic accidents, with about sixty of those fatalities coming right here in Washington State according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The bodies of cars and trucks, the seat belts, and air bags afford so much protection to the occupants in the event of a collision, but in a pedestrian collision, the pedestrian has essentially no protection. The best protection a pedestrian has is his or her agility, and ability to jump out of the way of a car. In this case, the wheelchair-bound victim did not even have that.
If you have lost a loved one in a Seattle pedestrian collision, contact Seattle pedestrian collision attorney Jason Epstein today. Your mind is probably not on protecting your legal rights; mourning the unexpected loss of a family member is a terrible thing and it can be very difficult to focus on anything else. However, it is important to speak with an experienced Seattle pedestrian collision attorney. Four Things to Avoid After Slipping and Falling
AppId is over the quota
Next to auto accidents, slip and fall accidents are the second leading cause of personal injury in the U.S. Nevertheless, many slip and fall victims damage their case by doing one or more of the following things:
1. Assuming the accident is their fault
Because slipping and falling can be interpreted as clumsiness, some victims wrongly assume that they fell on their own. When a building manager comes to their aid, they apologize and take responsibility for the fall. If you claim that a slip and fall is your fault, your words could be used against you if you decide to pursue a claim.
2. Waiting to see if they feel better
In order to avoid medical costs, some victims wait to see if they feel better before seeking medical attention – a decision that could cause some injuries to go unnoticed. Because injury cases are based on evidence of injuries, slip and fall victims should go to a hospital immediately after they fall to document any injuries.
3. Minimizing their injuries to a physician
When they minimize their injuries to a physician, slip and fall victims reduce their chance of being sufficiently compensated for injures, especially those injuries that begin subtly and intensify over time, such as nerve and brain damage.
4. Accepting a quick settlement
Insurance companies offer injury victims lowball settlements to avoid paying the large settlements that Philadelphia personal injury lawyers could otherwise negotiate on victims’ behalf. Although the settlement amount can seem generous initially, it is often insufficient to even cover a victim’s medical expenses.
Have You Been Injured in a Slip and Fall Accident?
If you’ve been injured in a slip and fall accident, avoid the mistakes above and call a Philadelphia injury lawyer at Console & Hollawell as soon as possible. We will seek to negotiate a reasonable settlement, or we will fight for your compensation in court.

Seattle Car Accident Attorney | Mother Acquitted After Fatal Accident
AppId is over the quota
As a Seattle car accident attorney, it is all too frequent that my job involves working with a parent who is mourning for the loss of a child. It is hard to imagine anything more terrible than losing your children in a car accident, but feeling that you might hold responsibility for the accident can only make it that much worse. KOMOnews.com reports on Wednesday on the case of grieving mother Jayme Davis, who was on the way home from a sporting event in January, 2010 with her two young sons when she drifted across the center line and collided with two oncoming cars, resulting in the death of both of her boys. Although Ms. Davis had some beer at the game, her blood-alcohol level was below the legal limit; she was nevertheless charged in the boys’ death. She was acquitted at trial, and reports that for several months after the trial, she was so consumed with grief that she was unable even to leave the house.
Motor Vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death to children in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has some outstanding data on child safety as it pertains to motor vehicles. The CDC reports that 1314 children at or below the age of fourteen were killed in car crashes in 2009, with many more injuries. What I find much more disturbing is that they estimate that in one year over 600,000 children went without the use of proper vehicle restraint at least once. Many of these were right here in Washington State. The single most important thing that we can do for our children is to be absolutely certain that they are properly secured in their seat, using a safety seat or booster when appropriate, every single time they ride in the car. They also observe some startling risk factors: a significant majority of children killed in car accidents were with drivers who had been drinking, nearly half of the children riding with drivers who don’t wear a seatbelt go without proper restraint, and almost three quarters of observed child seats were misused, not giving adequate protection in the event of a crash.
Many people believe that losing a child is the most emotionally painful thing a person can experience. In the awful event that this occurs due to a driver’s negligence in an auto accident, your focus will naturally be on healing the emotional scars of your family. At this time, you need an experienced Seattle car accident attorney to take care of your family’s legal interests while you concern yourself with more important matters. Jason Epstein is a veteran, compassionate Seattle car accident lawyer who can look out for the rights of your family during this difficult time. For more information, and a FREE CONSULTATION, contact Jason at Premier Law Group at (206)285-1743.
