Woman Trapped in Car in Anaheim Crash Extracted Using the Jaws of Life

November 3, 2011 - According to reports a woman involved in an Anaheim crash had to be extracted from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. According to Anaheim Police Officer Jim Saenz the collision occurred at approximately 7:52 a.m. on Glassell Street.
Officer Saenz stated that the collision involved a Toyota Tundra that was traveling southbound on Glassell Street when a woman was pulling out of an apartment complex in a Nissan Altima. The Tundra broadsided the Altima.
The crash caused the Nissan to come to a stop in the southbound lanes, while the Tundra was thrown into the northbound lanes coming to a stop at a curb. The woman was trapped in the Nissan and emergency rescue crews had to use the Jaws of Life to free the woman and two children in the vehicle.
The two children were not injured in the collision, according to Anaheim Police Officer Saenz.
