One injured in five hospital patients, study
According to a study of U.S. hospitals of almost every fifth hospital patients was violated by their care. These figures are despite the measures taken to improve the safety of industry and Government officials over the years.
Medical errors can be fatal.
In 1999, a report by the discovered Institute of medicine, that medical errors about 98,000 deaths and more than a million injured annually conducted. Thinking on that for a moment. A simple trip to the hospital could turn deadly, based on these numbers.
What was the new study
The recent study actually consists of six years and includes 2,341 hospital admissions in North Carolina. This State was chosen for the study because it is believed to be the leader in improving patient safety. 18 Percent of the patients according to at least a safety-related event from researchers but suffered minor injuries to his death.
When you visit the doctor or are admitted to the hospital trust you that you will receive appropriate care. You trust that the medical provider will take measures to avoid serious errors. However, this study is unnerving. It is also regrettable that many of the victims of medical malpractice be restored never a cent for their injuries.

Virginia surgeons have to their patients to avoid mistakes, ID
Just imagine you go to the hospital for removal of a cyst on the neck and wake up missing a kidney. Sounds like something out of a horror film, doesn't it? Unfortunately, this is a patient an actual type of surgical errors that can occur when not correctly identify the hospital staff before and during the operation.

Time is called sometimes known as a cause of surgical errors when running a procedure, on the wrong patient. When surgical team crashed a patient in surgery are to receive, especially if the procedure is an emergency they often neglect to perform the proper security checks to identify the patient.
Another reason for patients false identification is given that mixed the same last name 2 patients and got have. Hospitals identify every person with a wrist band, and it doesn't take long, with a chart to compare. Even with such defense is a form of negligence patients false identification.
