Police in the Los Angeles area are turning to the public to help find a hit-and-run motorist. The offender collided with a bicyclist Wednesday, Dec. 14, seriously injuring the traveler, and then fleeted the scene, according to ABC News. The bicycle accident occurred in Tustin, California, just south of Los Angeles.
The bicyclist was traveling ordinarily when he was struck by a red 2010 Ford Mustang. The vehicle is reported to be a rental car, with license number 6LLX505. The motorist was described as a male driver who allegedly caused the bicycle accident and then fled the scene of the crime.
Southern Californians who have tips in connection to the suspected offender are urged to contact LA police.
Staying safe on the roads is just as important for bicyclists as it is for drivers. In an attempt to avoid the vehicle, the officer swerved the cruiser out of the way, but slammed into a house instead of the other car. There was a person inside the house, but fortunately that person was not injured. This reckless driver could have caused so many injuries to so many people; it is very lucky that in this one instance the physical injury damage was limited, although obviously there is significant damage to the Police Cruiser and the home that it crashed into. The reckless driver was arrested.

Seattle Personal Injury Attorney | Kent Police Officer Hit By Driver Running Red Light
AppId is over the quota
As a Seattle car accident lawyer, I work with many different people who are injured in car accidents while carrying out their job. Every driver on our streets needs to exercise caution at all times, but the actions of the other drivers with whom we share the road are beyond our control. There are inherent risks in driving a car, and no one is more subject to these risks than those who drive for a living. The people we tend to think of first are cab drivers and truckers, but another professional who drives as part of their job is a police patrol officer. King5.com reports that early Monday morning an SUV ran through a red light in Kent and struck the patrol car of a Kent Police Officer. A barista at a local coffee shop called 911 after hearing the crash. There was significant damage to both vehicles, and both the officer and the driver of the SUV were taken to Valley Medical Hospital as a precaution. The officer was treated and released. Information has not been released on the other driver. The Kent Police have said that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
Each year in the United States, well over a million people are injured in passenger cars, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and although many professional drivers are more highly trained, many of those injuries are to people who drive for a living. We would like to think that when someone who drives as part of their job is injured in a car accident, any hospital bills incurred would be taken care of, but just like any other car accident, things do not always work out the way we would like.
If you have been injured in a Seattle car accident, speak with a Bellevue car accident attorney to discuss your options. Determining whether there has been negligence can be very complicated, and after being injured in an accident, your first priority should be your health. Attorney Jason Epstein can assess your situation and help you decide whether you should pursue a legal claim. La Crescenta Police Officer Helps Woman Stop Run Away Ford Focus
AppId is over the quota
September 23, 2011 - As a car accident lawyer in Los Angeles, it is not often I hear stories that have a happy ending. According to reports a woman was uninjured after a police officer helped to stop a Ford Focus that had gone out of control.
According to authorities the incident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. Thursday in the vicinity of Pennsylvania Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
According to Deputy Marcelo Ruiz he was in his police vehicle when a woman driving a Ford Focus waved in a manner that signaled she was not in control of her vehicle. Ruiz then chased the vehicle, while turning on the cruisers lights and siren.
The Ford kept increasing in speed through four way intersections and five red lights with cars coming in all directions. Ruiz attempted to speed up to get in front of the Focus when it was traveling at over 50 miles per hour to slow it down as quickly and safely as he could.
Ruiz stated he could see the panic on the woman’s face in his rear view mirror and brought both vehicles to a stop in the vicinity of Mills Avenue.
The driver identified as a 51 year old woman and resident of Tujunga, thanked the police officer over and over.
According to deputies there were no traffic accidents or collisions and the Ford Focus was heading toward a sharp curve onto Honolulu Avenue and if deputy Ruiz had not been able to stop the vehicle.
According to deputies later the vehicle was checked out and the brake fluid reservoir was empty and appeared to have a leak, causing the brakes to not work. I work for Ehline Law Firm PC at 4900 California Avenue Tower B, 2nd Floor Bakersfield, CA 93309 USA +661.846.2775.
Pedestrian Hit by Police Officer Speeding Sues Huntington Beach—Claims He was on Cell Phone
AppId is over the quota
September 23, 2011 - A woman has filed a lawsuit charging that a police officer hit her, while speeding and talking on a cell phone in Huntington Beach, during a car crash.
The woman identified as 47 year old Catherine Sanchez filed a lawsuit Monday in Huntington Beach stemming from a May 30th incident. Sanchez claims she was crossing Main Street when she was hit by an officer that was speeding and talking on a cell phone.
According to attorney Dyke Huish, who represents Sanchez, she would have been injured much worse if her son had not pulled her out of the way, but suffered bruising and pain to her back when she was struck by the police car on the left side of her body. Sanchez has claimed emotional distress due to the incident.
Attorney Huish stated that the officer stopped only long enough to yell at Sanchez to get out of the way and left. The Huntington Beach Police Department is denying the incident took place, while Huish has stated he does not believe police officers should be using cell phones and should not be permitted to leave the scene.
According to Huntington Police Department Chief Ken Small a police report was not taken, since the officer did not leave the scene and the woman was not struck by the vehicle. Small has stated that Sanchez did not say she was hit by the police vehicle and witnesses have also stated she was not struck by the car and because of this a report was not taken.
The Huntington Beach personal injury attorney at Ehline Law Firm PC finds the story believable. Michael Ehline, Esq., has seen several Santa Monica patrolmen on their cell phones while driving. It is another example of the servant becoming the master. If you know of a corrupt cop violating the civil rights of taxpayers, contact us at 600 Anton Boulevard 11th Fl. Are San Francisco police officers on cyclists?

In past we have California unbalanced bike laws, written, which all too often cyclists more than motorists, which after motorcycle accidents responsible. Last year reported bicycle times magazine also of fatal motorcycle accidents, police rather blame cyclists as drivers for the accidents. And with new data from the San Francisco Police Department indicates that on cyclists, especially in the market could be Street, the main artery of the city.
San Francisco disturbing increase in the number of pedestrian and bicycle accidents reduce, the SFPD has implemented a safety campaign traffic. This is a promising campaign, and I hope that it reaches to save the declared aims of cutting down on dangerous traffic conditions and life. But StreetsBlog reports that the view on the quotations of the SFPD has so far issued, it may be placing on the market of disproportionate blame cyclists for past collisions. While increased enforcement in market Street last week, for example, the SFPD issued 83 citations, especially for cyclists and no motorists.
Vehicle driver not cards have been dealt, "for the driver actually traffic rules out there were that of the officers at the time, on this day", said spokesman Albie Esparza SFPD. San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr offer not much more clarity. "It is only the vehicle code violations, in General." Actually, it said to the pedestrians, "he."If everyone is a bit mad at me, but it is more secure, then that's fine. "It is in fact, that her hand is thrown up on is called."
San Francisco experienced already 8 tragic accidents this year pedestrian and cyclists are every day in danger, because they are protected frame of the same metal and glass, to enjoy the vehicle driver. Reports from 2005 to 2009 there were more than 2,200 bike accidents in San Francisco alone, the Bay of the citizen bike accident Tracker. And a look on death traffic statistics California cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable to dangerous streets in San Francisco.
So while those who use the streets, pedestrians and cyclists alike, must do more, make up the road to ensure safety, the city should not be unnecessary legal cyclists traffic injuries across the Board for pressure.
