Comair incorporated was the first two settlements in August 27th crash of a regional Comair Jet in Lexington's blue grass airport.

Comair released documents, that he on Friday in U.S. District Court files that contain a letter informed the Court that it claims from the estates of Priscilla Johnson, 44, Lexington and Mary Jane Silas, 58, has laid out of Columbus, Miss.

Parties in these cases are still finalizing terms of the agreement and "agreed details of the settlement at this time confidential", the letter said.

Johnson and Silas were two of 49 persons on Comair Flight 5191 died in the crash, which occurred, after the aircraft has tried from the false start and off runway. The aircraft attempts from a 3,500 foot start and runway by small aircraft, used to take off, although there is actually a double so long runway should use.

"The terms of the settlement are confidential, but I can tell you that the agreements provide fair compensation for the loss of the family" Comair spokesman Kate Marx said.

Marx said that 29 claims have so far tabled for 38 passengers. The letter shows that the estate of Silas settled before it filed suit against Comair.

"We meet our commitment to ensure that the settlements are prompt and fair for the families of this tragic accident," said Marx. "We are still obliged to do what is appropriate for every passenger families, and we have every motivation to continue fair compensation for the victims."
